Sales Manager, Europe


About the Role

The Sales Manager, Europe is a key role at Splitit and is critical in driving the success of our Europe business. As the Sales Manager you are responsible for driving new Merchant acquisition by identifying highly targeted leads, working in a consultative fashion to become a key merchant partner and ultimately closing deals with these merchants.

As a high performing sales individual you are an expert at building and converting a deep sales pipeline of mid-market & enterprise clients across multiple sectors. You do so by utilising your existing professional network and expanding it rapidly via various networking strategies. You must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced scale-up environment, selling over the phone using web-based demos and discussing the more technical nature of our products. Your goal is to meet or exceed sales targets and increase our revenue while raising the awareness of Splitit’s unique value proposition in the market. This position has a base salary and incentive compensation.


As Sales Manager, Europe you are responsible for:

  • Build a deep pipeline and close high-volume merchant deals across UK and Europe
  • Actively source new lead opportunities and work closely with Business Development and marketing to qualify and nurture them
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead to go-live
  • Develop your own sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales volumes and revenue targets
  • Leverage and enhance sales tools and resources to best enable the sales process
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly performance against KPIs, metrics and targets
  • Ensure the best customer experience and on-boarding process for new customers
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and commercials contracts in conjunction with legal, finance and strategy through to execution
  • Develop valuable relationships internally and externally to help achieve your goals
  • Collaborate with sales leaders and the broader global sales team to achieve organisational goals


Required Experience

  • 2+ years of new business selling and closing experience on high performing sales teams
  • Sales and/or Business Development experience in ecommerce/online payment industries, ideally in fast-growing start-up-like environments with technical solutions
  • Experience selling into the c-suite with the ability to easily identify and influence key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Results focused, self-motivated and able to demonstrate holding oneself accountable for achieving key outcomes and meeting targets
  • Proven experience solution selling and using a consultative approach to partner with merchants, referenceable client examples preferred
  • You work collaboratively with people at all levels and across functions and cultures
  • You are willing to travel regionally as required
  • Educated to a degree level (or equivalent experience)
