The Splitit Help Center

What happens to my credit score if I use Splitit?

Splitit provides technology that allows stores to offer installment payments to their shoppers using credit cards shoppers already have.

When you make a purchase using Splitit, you do not take out new credit so there is nothing for us to check with or report to credit reference agencies. Your credit score should be unaffected.

Your credit card provider will normally report your activity to credit reference agencies so you should always check this.

If a transaction is unsuccessful for any reason, it is simply a declined transaction so your credit score is unaffected.

Find out about what happens if you fall behind on your plan here.
